I was sent a letter in the mail from WellsFargo on on XX/XX/2021 informing me of my account being suspect of fraud. I did not receive the information until XX/XX/2021 as my mailing address is at my parents house and I am a XXXX. I followed up with WellsFargo the following day and found out a checking account was opened on XX/XX/2021 without my knowledge. There was no activity of the account other than it being opened. I have looked through my credit reports and have not found any obvious fraudulent activity including the opening of any bank accounts other than a slight drop in credit score. I am waiting for WellsFargo to contact me with more information into the case and was give a case number in the mean time.
