On XX/XX/2021 at approximately XXXX XXXX PST, I received a call from a collections person stating that it was an attempt to collect a debt. She said my account was 13 days past due and I disagreed because I made two payments and canceled the second one. After asking questions I found out that TD Bank ( XXXX ) had canceled my first payment set up on XX/XX/XXXX because I had two payments for the same month making it appear that I hadn't made a payment. They later told me that I didn't have to pay the {$29.00} late fee but it would be taken off at the end of the payback time. This is a tactic often used by banks attempting to leave on the additional fees without the consumer noticing it. When they set up the account back in XXXX I also noticed that they added on additional money.
