On XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX I called Credit Collection Services XXXX I spoke to XXXX XXXX. I informed her that I was an Attorney, and I asked that they validate the debt they were trying to collect on. The underlying transaction was from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX - Account Number : XXXX Lab Code : XXXX. The outstanding balance had previously been paid to XXXX, and I have confirmed that I have XXXX balance with XXXX. When I asked MsXXXX XXXX to validate the debt, she gave me the date of service. I confirmed the date, but explained that there was no balance owed and that she was trying to collect on a debt that was not owed. I said that she needed to validate with XXXX, she said no that I needed to provide proof of payment. I again asked her to validate the debt- she refused. I next asked if her company was licensed in Michigan and to please provide me the license number, she refused. She said she didn't know if they were licensed in Michigan. Next I asked if she was licensed in Michigan, again she refused. My complaint is they were trying to collect on a debt not owed, refused to validate the debt, and refused to disclose if they were licensed in Michigan, or to give me their license number. I believe that they are not in compliance with the FDCPA. XXXX XXXX
