Bull City Financial has continued to attempt collection activity including credit file reporting on a time barred debt. The original debt is in the state of North Carolina and I am a North Carolina resident. The statuette of limitation in North Carolina is 3 years. I was never provided with the legally required validation notice. The alleged debt is from 2015. The account should never have been reported to my credit without providing me a validation notice and should have been removed and all collection activity stopped once it hit the time barred limit. The account is currently being reported against my credit file report is violation of the law and Bull City Financial 's responsibility as a data furnisher. I believe that these actions make them liable for violations of the FDCPA and the FCRA. I called Bull City Financial the first week of XXXX, and spoke to a collector named XXXX. I advised that his company was illegally still pursuing this debt past the statuette of limitation. I asked him was he aware of the concept of time barred debt. He told me he was not and attempted to collect against the debt that I advised was illegal. I asked to speak to a supervisor or compliance resource and XXXX disconnected the call.
