We requested to have PMI removed from our loan with PennyMac on XX/XX/XXXX. The value of our home has appreciated well beyond the 75 % percent LTV they require. They declined my original request. I submitted a second and third request in XX/XX/XXXX. In order to have PMI deleted, we had to pay a one time {$150.00} fee in XX/XX/XXXX to have a broker opinion appraisal completed. The Broker, XXXX XXXX, who was hired by PennyMac, returned an amount that was 78 % LTV amount which didn't qualify to remove our PMI. On their own documents, the lowest comparable home was {$10000.00} higher than the amount they appraised my home. I had obtained other appraisals and am now refinancing to an apprased amount that is {$55000.00} higher than the amount from the PennyMac appraisal. Pennymac purposefully valued our home lower in order to decline removing the PMI fee from our loan. I obtained multiple broker 's opinions and an appraisal to refinance and all of the appraisals/opinions were on average {$50000.00} higher than the BPO obtained by PennyMac. This is criminal behavior in attempt to keep their customers paying them monthly fees. They made every attempt to misrepresent the value of my home to continue charging me a fee for PMI.
