Upon selling our home, we transferred the loan on the solar panels to the new homeowner. The owner was required to become pre-approved and sign an agreement with Loanpal, aka XXXX ( as of XX/XX/XXXX ). Loanpal released the Lien on the home once all of the contingencies were met so that we could close. We closed on our Home on XX/XX/XXXX. The XXXX payment was autodrafted from our account and upon calling and inquiring Loanpal stated it was because the account had not been fully transferred but to not worry they would not be auto drafting our payment anymore. A couple of months go by and we started receiving letters regarding delinquent payments. We contacted Loanpal and they said to ignore the letters that the transfer process was not finalized but that it would not show up on our credit etc. XX/XX/XXXX The transfer process was finalized and we received a letter with a XXXX balance. However during the time between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX Loanpal reported delinquencies to our credit report and they continue to report the balance due of our previous loan as well as the standing of the loan being 90+ pays past due. This has sent our credit scores plummeting and is false information being reported to the credit bureaus. Loanpal has refused to fix the issue when contacted. We have disputed the claims with the credit bureaus and are currently awaiting results.
