As a victim of identity theft, in XX/XX/XXXX, the Federal Trade Commission issued me a recovery plan to follow step-by-step. The plan directed me to send a copy to Equifax. After equifax received it, they deleted the item. This item that they deleted, had appeared in XX/XX/XXXX without any notification by equifax as required by the law. I sent them a protest letter that they failed to notify me. Equifax responded that they completed the investigation and they verified it belongs to me I obtained new identity theft report and sent it equifax. On XX/XX/XXXX equifax deleted the item. This item reappeared for 2nd time without any notification by equifax as required by the law. Since then I sent 5 additional letters, begging, requesting, asking equifax to provide me the description of the procedures used to verify this item. In addition, the attached letters here show that the information regarding this account have been changed and equifax is reporting them with different value, such as date when was open, 1st delinquency, date of last payment etc. The date when was closed is missing and this makes the account incomplete. Equifax have been notified multiple times of these errors and they are aware of these errors. So far, equifax have not responded to my letters how did they verify this belongs to me, why they are keeping this account in my file, knowing the fact that it is incomplete, and why does this account is now reported with different values from what it used to be before.
