While in the process of repairing my credit I noticed an alleged debt from Harvard Collections Services LLC opened in XXXX of XXXX being reported for something that does not belong to me. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX I contacted Harvard Collection Services in regards to an alleged debt from XXXX in the amount of {$1300.00}. The agent that I spoke with refused to provide me his name and stated that the alleged debt was in fact mine and that it stemmed from over payment from the state of Illinois for state assistance between the months of XXXX to XXXX of XXXX. I have never resided in the state of Illinois and can't seem to understand why the agent to whom I spoke with advised that I would need to call another phone number and leave a message for a return call in which a representative would call me back for follow up in 7-10 business days. I never received the follow up. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and left another message. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to hear back from Harvard Collections. This alleged debt has been reporting for well over 30 years on my consumer report, which has reached well past the statue of limitations and reporting illegally.
