I had an initial auto loan with XXXX, upon financing with a more reputable bank, a payoff check was sent to XXXX from our new bank XXXX. XXXX received the check on or around XX/XX/2021. The tracking number proves it was received by XXXX. They told me the check was in process. I spent three weeks calling them and asking why the check had not been cashed and they kept telling me it was being processed. In the meantime, I started paying my new auto loan. Our new bank had to cancel the XXXX check that was sent to XXXX and send a new one, which they finally cashed in XXXX. Today I pulled my credit to find that XXXX had reported my autopayment late, even though I attempted to pay off the loan in its entirety in XXXX! They are claiming that I was late since the loan was not paid off until XXXX ; however, I have all of the documentation that we paid it in XXXX. They need to correct my credit report now. This is fraudulent and they mishandled funds. I am attempting to refi my mortgage and the rate will only be held for one week and I can not go forward with the process until this is taken care of.
