I took this loan out of {$3000.00} when I was desperate and needed it to pay rent or be evicted. The interest rate was % 167. When I took the loan out I asked if I could pay off early with no penalty and was assured this would be the case. I paid the loan on time as agreed but when I called and asked to pay it off early they lied and did something shady but I cant quite figure what they did. I received a notice from the IRS stating they claimed a loss and that I owe the irs now {$600.00}. I never asked to settle the loan and was never 1099d. I just asked what the pay off amount was. I paid it off and now being charged again.
