Consumer Narrative

RE : loan number XXXX This letter is to dispute the credit bureau notification that occurred on our mortgage account in XXXX, XXXX for 180 days late and then again in XXXX, XXXX for 60 days late. We thought we were in forbearance and then learned we were denied the home modification but were told that we were still able to get into another resolution and paperwork was mailed out to us again for another option. However, we were unable to get into a workout solution until XX/XX/XXXX. Payments for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX we were under the impression that they were in forbearance and we came to learn they were not in XXXX and then were reported as late. Please consider our request to remove the negative credit reporting as we attempted over many months to make calls/inquiries to find another work out solution. We did not understand that this negative credit report was occurring as we were doing our best to reapply for another option. None of this would have happened, had we not been furloughed during the pandemic. I have been undergoing XXXX XXXX XXXX and have tried my best to follow up on the documents, attempting to make regular calls to UWM to understand my options. Since our credit has plummeted after these reports, we are concerned for our financial future. When we disputed these reports with the individual credit bureaus the outcome notified us to contact UWM directly to discuss this situation. We are XXXX XXXX workers who were furloughed and thankfully we are working again but the impact of the negative credit reporting has been devastating.
