I already have one open complaint with TCF National Bank. Case number : XXXX. This bank just transitioned to Huntington National Bank. On Friday my son ( XXXX XXXX ) and I had a appointment to open a new checking account per TXXXX 's instructions for case listed above. At arrival every thing was fine, we opened the new account and signed all paperwork, then time to fund the account and we were informed that my existing account that my direct deposit is paid to had a hold on the money with no explanation why. We requested the following : The account had XXXX total, we wanted to withdraw XXXX and transfer XXXX to the new account. We wanted to leave the account with a XXXX balance for the fact that there is an ongoing complaint filed with the FDIC and CFPB. The representative then returned to the office with a lady whom didn't identify her self. She stated that they may not be able to continue doing business with me because I filed a complaint against TCF and now known as Huntington National. After a very tense conversation between my son and the the lady. They advised us that there is a hold on my old checking account so the withdrawal and transfer could not happen. They requested that we return on Saturday to do the withdrawal and transfer. Saturday we show up and end up sitting there for 45 minutes just to be told by the manager that I still connot have access to my money. It is unacceptable that they are holding all of my funds from me but have allowed the wrong people to take over XXXX. I have no pending transactions nor any reason for them to hold my money
