Capital One closed my credit card without my knowledge. I spent over 3 hours on the phone in one day, trying to find answers and proper documentation. It turns out, capital one didnt disclose that they can close your account without your knowledge. They stated due to payment return which is outside of normal monthly payments. Basically if you try to transfer money from another bank to capital one account, they can take up to a week to post the transaction leaving consumers confused about the funds available in either accounts. Also, customer service is poor and no one is able to disclose these terms before you find out the hard way ( account closure ). Capital One collected a {$600.00} payment to the card after closing it, without my knowledge that Id have no access to the funds. At one point, when my call was escalate, the agent who identified herself as XXXX ( spelling ), said that too many payment returns as a reason for account closure without notifying the customer, was proprietary company information and didnt have to be disclosed with the customer.
