I defaulted on an auto loan with XXXX XXXX and its been sitting on my credit report for the last 4yrs. Its been charged off. However, another agency, Pacific Credit has been reporting this default as their own. So I have XXXX reporting XXXX and PC reporting XXXX plus accruals. This makes it seems as though I am in more debt than I am and that I have defaulted on two loans instead of the one. Unaware of its origin I disputed the account and as a result PC has now placed their account in active collection reflecting that I am currently XXXX days late when I have had no contact or made no arrangements with them!
