There is a collections account that appeared on my credit report in XX/XX/XXXX from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$680.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a certified debt validation letter to the company requesting to see what proof they had that I have a contract or have actually done business with them, giving them 30 days to respond. They never responded. In the meantime, I disputed this with Transunion and to my surprise within 24hrs they deemed the debt valid which really puzzled me. If the company never sent me proof, I highly doubt Transunion has proof of this so called debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, I went back over my credit report and noticed they were reporting this account incorrectly. This collection account is reporting not only as OPEN, but also shows a past due balance of {$680.00}. I simply mailed Transunion a certified letter informing them of this. Also explaining that According to the FCRA, I have the right to an accurate credit report. Asking them to please remove this account immediately from my credit report. Please provide me a copy of my new credit report reflecting this account removed upon completion. Transunion mailed back a letter and my credit report stating it would not be removed from my credit. Yet, nobody has showed me valid proof of me owing this debt nor has anyone responded to my request. I do not owe this debt, I've never done business with the collections agency, there is no valid proof of me owing this debt and this should not be on my credit report. weird enough, It was placed on my report XX/XX/XXXX and according to my credit report, it's due to be removed XX/XX/XXXX. I've seen this with inquires but not actual collection accounts. Funny how this debt isn't on any of my other credit reports, hmmm ..... Probably because the collections company doesn't have proof!! I'm thoroughly convinced that Transunion and this XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX has a huge scam going on. I believe Transunion and this collection agency are surely practicing unethical and illegal business in regards to my personal credit. I am asking that this be looked into on my behalf in good faith.
