Applied to refinance a conventional loan to va loan. When locking in the rate I had to pay an appraisal fee of {$490.00} and a credit report fee of {$21.00}. A few days later the loan was cancelled due to a 6 months seasoning requirement on the current loan to refinance to a va loan. I even asked the loan officer multiple times to make sure it could be done as other banks had told me similar. Loan officer could see all this information from the initial credit report but still told me loandepot would be able to do it. After a few weeks I finally got an email stating that only the {$490.00} appraisal would be refunded. Loan officer said credit report fee would not be refunded even though the cancellation of the loan was due to their incompetence.
