On approximately Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX I reviewed my TransUnion credit report. Upon reviewing examining the file in further detail I noticed that an old credit card account from " XXXX XXXX '' was still reporting as a " current account '' despite being closed nearly three years ago. On my credit report, under " Payment History '', Trans Union 's comments indicate this account was closed in XX/XX/XXXX ( a comment of XXXX is noted ). I disputed the status of this account with TransUnion on approximately Sunday, XX/XX/XXXX. TransUnion responded saying that they verified the account status as accurate based on information provided by the creditor ( despite my credit report from the other two reporting bureaus showing this account as closed ). I am therefore submitting this complaint against XXXX since they have submitted inaccurate information regarding my closed credit card account to Trans Union. I have attached a copy of my Trans Union credit report for documentation.
