On XX/XX/XXXX, I discovered that a collection account was posted by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) to my TransUnion consumer credit report. The report indicated that the amount owed was {$140.00}, and that the original creditor is XXXX. To date, I have yet to receive a letter from XXXX regarding this collection account. However, based on the information provided by XXXX to the three credit bureaus, this debt is not mine. Together, the credit reports indicated that the last payment made to the XXXX account was XX/XX/XXXX ; that the date of first delinquency was XX/XX/XXXX ; that there was an account review inquiry to XXXX by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ; and that the collection account was opened on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached supporting documentation ). While I previously had an account with XXXX, that account was closed in XXXX of XXXX. That account was also in good standing at the time of closure. All fees had been paid as the account was set on credit card autopay, including a close-out payment of {$18.00} on XX/XX/XXXX, and all equipment returned ( see attached supporting documentation ). Since closing my XXXX account in XXXX, I have not opened another account with XXXX, and am not the person who made the XX/XX/XXXX payment to the XXXX account in collection. I submitted a dispute regarding the collection account referenced above to TransUnion via certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached supporting documentation ). As a XXXX supporting the COVID-19 response, this matter is distracting my attention and time from serving Oregonians. I would, therefore, greatly appreciate the CFPBs assistance in resolving this matter expeditiously.
