In XX/XX/XXXX I began the mortgage process. i found a home in XX/XX/XXXX and was just advised by my lender that in the XXXX XXXX reporting system there is a notation that i currently ow a student loan from XXXX. US DEPT OF ED is NOT reporting on my credit report and has NEVER made me aware of the debt. I called them and was given the number XXXX NO ANSWER but i was transferred to XXXX XXXXl ( think thats the name ) to see about the debt. The total is {$4100.00}. They offered me a 9 month rehab plan BUT that is way too late for me to complete this mortgage settlement. I asked if i could settle or pay a certain portion to bring the account out of collections and the answer was no.
