Received phone call several months ago from a rude representative that argued and refused to let me talk. They gave me several addresses that I never lived at in an attempt to verify the debt. This debt was from a XXXX credit account. I settled the debt with the original creditor shortly before they purchased the debt from XXXX XXXX I had no account number for their internal records so I emailed their compliance officer in XXXX and provided a copy of my bank statement showing where I paid XXXX for this account and the settlement account. Not only did they proceed in attempting to collect, they placed this account as a collection on my credit. Numerous disputes with them and the credit bureaus have yielded no results.
