I called Experian dispute department and was met with hostility regarding followup to a prior dispute against XXXX and XXXX credit cards who were handle by the same processor but sent to collections. I paid the balances to the collections agencies. The CSR for dispute got aggravated with me and stated that I paid the collections agency and not the credit card company which shows as closed as charge offs. I explained that my credit wasn't with the agencies but he said the credit cards will remain as derogatory and not show as paid. That is inaccurate and prevents me from qualifying for a mortgage. There are several paid items showing as derogatory that were paid and should have been removed as agreed.
