On XX/XX/21 I lled out a form with XXXX XXXX requesting more information about their loan programs. I was at work when I received a phone call shortly after. I stated repeatedly that I was at work and was unable to talk while the agent, XXXX, continued to ask questions. He asked for my social security number so we could " get things started '', which knowing I was speaking with a legitimate company I gave not knowing or at the very least having heard him say that his intention was to run my credit. I hung up the phone and immediately received a notication that there had been a hit on my credit report. I have spoken to multiple individuals expressing that my intentions were not to get a mortgage or have my credit run and asked to have it removed from my credit report. When they refused I asked them to let me hear the recording where I provided consent to have them run my credit. They have since refused to let me hear proof of consent and doubled down on their refusal to remove the inquiry
