In XX/XX/XXXX I filed a dispute of information on my Ally Auto account in collections through a credit bureau ( XXXX I believe ). I filed the dispute with a complaint of the late payments being inaccurate and that the loan was included as one in the class action suit that lead to a settlement for all affected loan consumers. I asked that the amount that Ally is supposed to pay be removed from the balance and for the late payments to be removed. I also asked stated that I didn't receive credit for the car that was repossessed being sold at auction. Instead, there were late payments added to an account that was charged off and has been closed, dormant and in collections for years. I called Ally and they said that they couldn't access the account and that I would receive a letter from the credit bureau explaining the changes ( I haven't ). I reached out to Vermont 's Attorney General 's office and they directed me here. I have since learned that the settlement agrees that any negative remarks are supposed to be removed in XXXX of XXXX and {$1300.00} of any balance will be removed.
