account had fraudulent activity and I was not found liable for the {$500.00}. However 1 year later a charge off for the {$500.00} was put on my credit. called the creditor on XX/XX/2021 and was advised that it would be removed. called again on XX/XX/2021 and was told the same thing. I still have an open account with creditor. How can I have a charged off account and still have an active account. Nothing was charged off, I'm still using and paying on account.
