I applied in XXXX for a student credit card at DISCOVER and was accepted and mailed the credit card, later in XXXX i was asked to fill a form, print it and notarize and mail it to them to further verify my identity and i complied, after i mailed it there was no communication from DISCOVER whether it was received or not ( it was never received on their end ) they did not inform me at all that it was never received because if they had i would have been able to fix this issue swiftly by sending in the same notarized form again by mail within the 15 day time frame they gave me to do this, my credit card was then closed 2 weeks after ( and that whole time i had thought the notarized form they asked me to send them was received ) I call customer support and they told me that i did not even need to go through this whole process and could have easily just sent all the information and documentation they requested online which would have been much more reliable and faster. My card was closed unfairly and unlawfully because the form that they asked me to fill, notarize and send was never received on their end for whatever reason and i was not told about it at all until i found out they closed my card because of it. I could have easily provided them with all the information they wanted to verify my identity had I actually been told that they were not able to receive the form i sent them by mail.
