FORMER COMPLAINT - XXXX WAS NOT RESOLVED!! Honda Finance LIED TO THE CFPB!!!!! On XX/XX/2021 XXXX called me to " clarify '' the process - he realized, he was wrong in his understanding, and agreed that YES, indeed {$2500.00} that Honda Finance told XXXX was due was in fact NOT DUE. The account was marked TOTAL LOSS on XX/XX/2021 and I was provided an ACCURATE PAYOFF - NO FURTHER SALES TAX WAS PAYABLE as the LEASE no longer existed. XXXX told me he would FOLLOW UP - NO WORD - NO PHONE CALL - NO MAIL - NO MONEY!!!! During the XX/XX/XXXX telephone call that lasted over an hour, XXXX said the account was paid in full and closed, and said " IF WE RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL PAYMENT WE WILL SEND YOU THE REFUND '' XXXX CONFIRMS, their check was issued on XX/XX/XXXX and it was CASHED by Honda Finance on XX/XX/XXXX. Honda Finance owes me {$2500.00} Calling Honda does ZERO GOOD - You call you sit on hold for nearly 2 hours, to be put on hold and passed around. They have the money, they have ZERO desire to pay any money back. The call with Honda on XX/XX/XXXX when TOTAL LOSS reported was RECORDED BY HONDA FINANCE - PULL THAT CALL - it will be heard clear as day what the pay off is. Further calls with Honda CLEARLY recorded as " sales tax of {$2500.00} '' not due. It is not nice to lie, and it is certainly NOT NICE, RIGHT or should it be allowed to LIE TO A GOVERNMENT FINANCE OVERSIGHT BOARD.
