I financed my vehicle through American Honda Finance. I am now in the process of moving from Hawaii to the US Mainland ( California ). I need to ship my car to make this move. The state of Hawaii requires that I get authorization from Honda Finance ( as my lienholder ) to ship the vehicle. After waiting for hours on hold with their customer support, they told me I would need to submit insurance documentation ( confirming the vehicle would be insured in transit ) to a specific email address. I provided that documentation. After a week with no response, I called back and waited on hold for several hours. That representative said I need to email a different email address. They are not responding to either email address and I've been unable to get authorization to ship my car. I now may have to sell my car just to be able to move and risk not being able to even get a good price for it after all the time they've wasted. I feel that they have a responsibility as my lender to provide this to me. I've given them everything they asked for and tried numerous times over many different channels to follow up. I don't think they are acting in good faith to service my loan appropriately and feel that I was duped into accepting financing that wouldn't allow me to move with my car.
