On XXXX of 2021 I learned about a collection for a course that my previous employer suggested I pursued- I contacted General Revenue Corporation in order to satisfy the collection and dispute with university. I asked what did I needed to do to have that collection removed from my credit report. I was told by XXXX that in order to have it removed I must pay it in full or they can also accept a settlement. I chose not to do the settlement because the collection was affecting my credit. I paid it in full, and I am in the process of disputing the debt with the school. Today XX/XX/XXXX I contacted the collection company to request an update on why the collection has not been removed if payment was made in full on XX/XX/2021. I was now told that they would update the account but those collections dont get removed. I was lied to and provided incorrect and deceiving information in order for them To collect payment. I am requesting this collection is removed entirely from my credit report and they refuse to do so.
