XXXX from Direct Capital called me ( an unrelated party to the obligation ) in an attempt to locate their debtor. When I told him I was not the person they were looking for, he proceeded to tell me that they were attempting to collect on a bad check for this 3rd party that I am not on an account for ( although I am sure they found me via skiptracing as I do know the 3rd party ) I then explained that he was violating privacy laws by telling me this persons business as it was not mine at which he stated that 'he could have his attorney contact him as well ' The number they called me from was XXXX. Had he simply asked me to relay a message without disclosing personal information, I would have done so.
