Consumer Narrative
Wells Fargo opened my checking account with a {$50.00} initial deposit. A few days later they began harassing me, demanding another address. I informed them I did not have another address. The matter was referred to corporate HQ. After an initial correspondence on XX/XX/XXXX to : XXXX XXXX, Manager Customer Data Management Wells Fargo XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, SD XXXX Ref No. XXXX I was contacted by another person who refused all cooperation. I corresponded on : XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX XXXX, XXXX Specialist Enterprise Complaints Management Office XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MN XXXX I informed her she was violating the law and my legal rights and that I fully intend to sue Wells Fargo for it as well as seek a discrimination lawsuit and punitive damages. XXXX wanted to close my account because my only address was allegedly in violation of the " money laundering laws '' of the federal government. I asked her to cite the law but she was not able to comply. I asked her to contact her legal department but she refused to do it. My correspondence with her clearly pointed out she was violating the Money Laundering Laws by refusing to use my ONLY address. IT APPEARS I MUST ALSO SUE THE US GOVERNMENT for violating my Constitutional Rights and I plan to do just that -- I will seek to overturn the Money Laundering Law clauses that harm me and millions of others -- a class action is being prepared ( and will be filed as soon as this AGENCY has failed to resolve the issue and force Wells Fargo into compliance. I urge your legal department to read my second letter because the MONEY LAUNDERING LAWS do not allow the banks to deny service to those who lack certain types of addresses. READ THE DAMN LAWS! And if you believe those laws discriminate lawfully, get ready for a multi-billion dollar lawsuit co-naming the US Government and Wells Fargo because I have legal muscle behind me. I referred the Wells Fargo person XXXX to read these MONEY LAUNDERING LAWS and cite the precise law, code, regulation that allows them to deny me a personal banking account because they do not like my address. My address appears on my driver 's license, was used to obtain a US passport from the State Department, is used officially by Social Security to send my payments and do official works, and by others ; my identity is known, clear, and documented NOT TO BE A MONEY LAUNDERER. Wells Fargo and the US Government are apparently discriminating against me in direct violation of many laws. Wells Fargo can not cite a single law that supports their assertion or position -- they unilaterally closed my account without my consent. YOUR AGENCY has a duty to STOP THIS DISCRIMINATORY BEHAVIOR. If you don't solve this right now, YOU WILL BE SUED TOO! Not a threat, just a legal promise. The MONEY LAUNDERING LAWS include : 1. Bank Secrecy Act ( 1970 ) 2. Money Laundering Control Act ( 1986 ) 3. Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988 4. Annunzio-Wylie Anti-Money Laundering Act ( 1992 ) 5. Money Laundering Suppression Act ( 1994 ) 6. Money Laundering and Financial Crimes Strategy Act ( 1998 ) 7. Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001 ( USA PATRIOT Act ) 8. Intelligence Reform & Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. My letter shows that, in fact, the BANK is required to use the ONLY ADDRESS I HAVE, which is my LEGAL ADDRESS. XXXX, the US District Court uses that address for me and they have no problem either! The MONEY LAUNDERING LAWS were strictly intended by Congress to keep professionals off the system. When the identity of a person is clearly known and verifiable, the laws DO NOT APPLY. YOUR AGENCY IS NOT EDUCATING the banking industry properly and you need to be defunded and shut down as a useless agency ( or get off your XXXX and get some real work done because the banks are USING THE FEDERAL GOV and its XXXX laws to discriminate against many Americans like me. YOUR JOB IS TO STOP THAT XXXX and do it forcefully. This bank is already been indicted for its own acts of fraud ( read the news ) and coming on the heels of that case is going to be a bigger case -- -this case! CLASS ACTIONS and NATIONAL PRESS seem to be the only things that get the big corporations and government to start obeying the laws. I will accommodate both of you and get wealthy doing it -- you two will pay the freight! OR you can solve this right now... this is the only thing I need to do to legally demonstrate I tried to mitigate harms to WELLS FARGO and US Government -- -- gloves come off after this fails. Have a nice day! PS -- I suggest you get supervisors and lawyers involved right now because when I get started, those folks will be spending far more time on this case later -- -costly time! Who cares, not your money, right!
