Several weeks after closing on our mortgage Hancock Whitney made contact with me regarding a lack of both information and a signature involved in the closing. Apparently my Social Security Income was not included. Several demands were made including a " threat '' from XXXX XXXX ( Client Solutions Leader '' that I could be " forced '' to sign as that was part of the standard closing agreements to agree to correct and missing information. Demands included that I should drive a 2 hour round trip from my home to sign, it " had to be signed by " X '' date '' etc., although that deadline date had come and gone when the matter was settled. During that time I received the attached letter form XXXX XXXX asking me to sign one page out of the entire agreement that was Section 6 : Acknowledgements and Agreements had absolutely nothing to do with correcting my income. It appeared that Hancock was going to make a change on what was already a signed Income Disclosure and then use the attached page as a way to provide my agreement. I refused to sign it and instead contacted the attorney 's office that did the closing seeking advice. I was instructed not to sign an arbitrary page and they would look into it. They then presented the option, what I believe to be the legal and proper way to handle the situation and that was to come into their office and to initial and date the original closing documents and to then provide the missing signature ( s ). Hancock made the entire pre-closing demands absolutely absurd and then to attempt to pull this " switch '' off is very disconcerting. I am a well educated individual with several closings under my belt and have never seen a bank act in the manner that Hancock did.
