On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid off my auto loan with XXXX in full. The loan originated on XX/XX/XXXX. I never had a late payment during the loan. Because I paid off the loan and closed the account Transunion lowered my credit score by 41 points and the rating to fair. XXXX lowered my credit score by 39 points. As a result of their actions the rates I would be charged on new loans demand a higher interest rate as well as reduce the market for companies willing to loan to me. I protested to the companies and was told I was a higher credit risk since I closed the account which lowered my credit rating. This is absurd since by paying off the account I reduced my monthly debt by {$550.00} which intern increased my liquidity by {$6600.00} annually. I feel they should have done the complete opposite and increased my credit rating due to the perfect history for the loan.
