Took out an installment loan for XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Was allowed to skip 2 payments in XXXX due to pandemic. Pay XXXX twice per month. The original end date of the loan was XX/XX/XXXX. The two missed payments were to be added to the end of the loan. I have paid in over {$6000.00} for a {$2500.00} loan. I am now told I need to keep paying until XXXX of XXXX. That would amount to additional {$3800.00}, bringing the total to almost {$10000.00} for the {$2500.00} loan. After complaining they agreed to settle for {$1000.00}. I don't think that is fair. They also would report the account to credit as a settled account hurting my credit. I feel I have more than paid back this loan. Any help would be appreciated. I don't want my credit damaged. Thank you.
