On XX/XX/XXXX, a certified letter was sent requesting that Equifax investigate an account listed on my credit report as XXXX XXXX XXXX. Since then three more certified letters were sent requesting reinvestigation of the same account. Those letters were dated for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. After months of dispute letters with no investigation into the requested account, the last dispute letter date for XX/XX/XXXX yielded mailed results and those results still did not include the investigation results of XXXX XXXX XXXX After multiple attempts with no response concerning my dispute. I sent one last and final letter to Equifax on XX/XX/XXXX advising them aware of the error on their part and demanded that the account be deleted given that a reasonable investigation was not conducted initially nor was there any correspondence received. Today I received results in the mail from Equifax stating that the account was " modified '' and the debt is still not listed as disputed. According to the FCRA, failing to list the account as disputed after a valid dispute has been sent to the credit reporting agencies is a violation. Equifax has blatantly failed to comply with the law and has denied my rights as a consumer. I have attached screenshots of all tracking numbers and a copy of my very last dispute letter.
