Hello, I ( XXXX XXXX ) was living and working full time in XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. We sold our primary home in XXXX in XXXX. Sometime around XXXX Discover issued a credit card to someone using my name and my XXXX yr old address. The person maxed out the card in no time and defaulted. Upon my return to states and trying to get a credit card and buy a vehicle we discovered my low XXXX XXXX due default under my name. I reached out to discover asking for proof on verification of my ID before issuing the credit card. They will NOT comply. I have reached out to all three credit agencies with facts and they are siding with discover. Discover has tried to sue me. I reached out to their lawyer with facts but they refuse to talk to me. As a result it is becoming a XXXX vs XXXX story. I am unable to live a normal life despite being a ideal law abiding, financially responsible citizen. Before I start a lawsuit against discover, I wanted to reach out to you to see if you could assist. Happy to provide all facts. Please remember I did not live in United States from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX and hence had NO utility bill to prove the same.
