I'm a Customer of XXXX XXXX XXXX, I have an Auto lease from them. my account was set up on AutoPay and they were drawing the money each month automatically. the lease maturity date was on XX/XX/2021, so I called 2 times on XX/XX/2021 in order to extend the lease. XXXX approved my lease to be extended till XX/XX/2021. Since the Account was set up on AutoPay I thought they are pulling the money automatically like they did every other month during the time of the lease and since the representative on the phone didn't mention anything about the AutoPay getting canceled. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX and I've been told that everything is ok and the representative didn't mention anything about a payment past due and he just said that everything is ok with the account. after checking my credit I noticed a late payment reported on my report for the month of XX/XX/2021. I called XXXX to check what's going on they told me that the AutoPay got canceled since the maturity date of the lease was due on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX and therefore I'm late for over 30 days. I've been trying to explain to them that when I called the representative didn't mention anything about it and even when I called 2 days after the payment due date I've been told that everything is ok with the account and no action needs to be taken. I never had a late payment on any of my accounts I'm a very responsible person and I understand my financial obligations. please help me fix this issue ASAP. I'm planning to apply for a mortgage and it came to my attention that the missed payment on my record could hurt my ability to qualify.
