Prior, I made a complaint within 30 days of application with Fairway Mortgage Company for racial steering, redlining, lending discrimination. The complaint was made through CFPB portal and is currently under investigation by HUD. The complaint being made today, is a complaint for a second violation which occurred after the previously mentioned violation. Said mortgage company did not provide a letter of adverse action as required by the XXXX. XXXX XXXX of Fairway Mortgage Company verbally denied my application for credit purporting that I did not meet XXXX qualifications to live in the property. She purported that the developers only accepted XXXX conventional loans. She alleged she did not know the specific reasons for denial when questioned during our conversation on XX/XX/2021 and again XX/XX/2021. Application date was XX/XX/2021 and I have yet to see an adverse action letter providing verifiable reasons for denial. I believe that the company did not send a letter of denial because the claim that I did not qualify for XXXX XXXX was a false claim and was verbally offered in an attempt to racially steer me from the community I was interested in purchasing a home in ; it was verbally offered so that there is no record of the false claim because such claim would be evident by XXXX XXXX. Again, this a claim of a ECOA ( Reg B ) violation which has not been raised prior. I need an explanation as to why this company violated my rights to receive a written letter of denial.
