I was a victim of identity theft and filled several documents with Transunion reporting agency. I filled an FTC report. An affidavit, an FTC complaint number, along with two from of Identification and the items i were disputing. According to FCRA 605B the items listed on the affidavit and ftc report should be block within 4 business days of receipt. I spoke with XXXX XXXX, a supervisor at Transunion. He works in the fraud dept/special handlings. And he informed me that Transunion does follow the FCRA but would not block the items because it takes 30 days. After telling him the the FCRA section 605B states identity theft items should be blocked within 4 business days, he insisted that he would not block them and it would take 30 days. I told him that i contacted the creditors and they told me to follow this process. He insisted that it takes 30 days and began to become very irate and rude. I asked him does the FCRA state that if its identity theft and the constituent elements above are included in a dispute that the items would be blocked in 4 days. He keep telling me that he would not comment on that and hung the phone up. XXXX XXXX is not following the law he claims to be following and he was very rude and unprofessional with me. I was very polite on the call. XXXX XXXX was not.
