XX/XX/XXXX my wallet was stolen in the XXXX airport before heading on a vacation. I later found out someone had gone to withdraw all of the money in my checking account and also max out my credit cards. I bank with Capital One and they have done a horrible job at investigating the situation and allowing me to get my money back. They determined it was theft, but I still havent had access to my money and its been a month. I have had no access to ANY of my accounts and have had to resort to borrowing money from friends and family so that I would be able to pay rent and buy food. They finally gave me access to just one of my accounts and allowed me to transfer money to my girlfriend, but its been three weeks and she still has not received the money transfer. Capital One claims its in transit, and have given us MANY different times of arrival for the moneybut it still hasnt shown up in her account despite them having the correct bank, checking, and routing number. AT NO POINT have they allowed me to get a temporary card. To me this is unheard of, as I know many people who get temporary cards when their money is stolen. I have been working and havent even had access to any of my pay checks because they havent given me access to my accounts. I am basically about to be XXXX because I am not able to pay any of my bills and I cant survive without money for any longer. I have gotten no where by speaking to the employees or the higher ups, and at this point Im afraid my {$23000.00} dollars I have worked hard for is gone forever.
