On XXXX XX/XX/2021, my son, who is authorized to access my account, call to inquire of the PIF amount. He spoke with a " XXXX '' with Affiliate Mortgage Services. He introduced himself and made the request. He didnt easily recall my social security number but referenced a previous email whereby I authorized him to speak on my behalf and access my account. When she wouldnt provide the information, my son called me at work and connected me on three-way. After verifying myself, I alerted XXXX my son was authorized and she confirmed he wanted the PIF amount. We both concurred. She then said she needed to get someone else on the line to assist. My son and I challenged her by saying she led us to believe she was providing the information. My son spoke up and indicated she had wasted our time and that we needed the PIF amount and if she couldnt provide it the principal amount would suffice. XXXX disregarded us, misled us, was unprofessional, and merely transferred the call to the collections department. The call went to voicemail. We tried calling XXXX back and each time she sent us to her voicemail. My account isnt in collections. This agent needs immediate remediation and the company should be investigated for potential CFPB and OCC reg violations. THe agent needs to understand there is a proper way to address customers, to provide proper information, and not misled, insult, or be disrespectful.
