Experian is the only credit agency reporting that a closed Veterans Affairs account is in Collection status as of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The account was closed back in XX/XX/XXXX as fully satisfied. I provided a letter from the VA confirming this status. I disputed it twice with Experian and on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX they left the bogus monthly status as in collection for XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Also, the late status and collection for XXXX and XXXX is wrong. I was disputing the amount owed with Experian. I paid them the full amount that ultimately was owed. I did an appeal with the VA in XXXX which reversed the debt they incorrectly sent to collections and in fact received back some of my money.
