I have paid this account on time and have never missed a payment. I always mark that the payment is due by the XXXX of each month on my calendar. Today, XX/XX/21, I remember that the payment was due and attempted to pay it online like I always do... but saw that the company has already put a {$25.00} late fee on my account when. It was XXXX XXXX and the company would not credit my payment ( {$25.00} due ) to today. It forcefully applies the money to the next day and charges me the fee. Then, I read the info online where it said that the payment is due by XXXX XXXX. I never knew and did not agree to that specific term when I signed up for the credit card. I called Capital One and both the first level worker and then the supervisor refused to credit my account for the fee. My complaint is that the payment was made TODAY which is still the XXXX. Every other account I have considered after XXXX XXXX the deadline for each day. Capital One is very cold and unhelpful. Every time I speak with them, they act like the don't value my business and are inflexible with their policies.
