XX/XX/2021 I submitted a credit dispute to Equifax due to a negative line of credit from XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$11000.00} due to an auto repo. I exercised my right under the FCRA rule 611 ( a ) ( 6 ) ( Biii ) which states that a consumer may request " a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information shell be provided to the consumer by the credit reporting agency. On XX/XX/XXXX, i received in the mail a generic computer generated response stating that the account had been verified as accurate. To make matters worse, the same account appeared double on my credit credit file. first account # XXXXand second account # XXXX with the last two digits of the original account number missing. Which unfairly brought my credit score down even further. The credit reporting agency mandates that a debt collector must delete their reported collection if account has been tampered with.
