On XX/XX/2021 I notified the credit bureaus that there are some account reporting on my credit report that were the result of someone using my information to open up accounts. The credit bureau 's have removed some fraudulent accounts from my credit report however when I pulled a new credit report and I noticed that the accounts re-appeared. I referred back to the FTC " Guide to assisting identity theft victims '' and it states that I should have received notice 5 days before they added the items back on my credit so it's been re-inserted illegally. I believe the person who has taken my personal information is someone who lived at a previous residence and I am a non confrontational person and I don't want to see anyone in trouble but this account is preventing my fiance and I from purchasing a home so I have taken the time to go to XXXX and spoke to officer XXXX who advised me to file an FTC Identity Theft Affidavit and obtain as much information as possible from the furnisher so my police report is not vague and so they can complete an investigation which may unfortunately lead to an arrest.
