On XX/XX/2021, I contacted the FS Genesis ( DBA Indigo Card ) credit card company regarding my account with them. The card I held had previous unauthorized purchases on it and although I had contacted the company regarding the fraudulent amounts several times earlier in the year, FS Genesis/Indigo continued to allow the charges to accrue, while charging me interest on the amounts, and did not offer an explanation as to why this was all occurring. Bizarrely, Indigo sent replacement cards to me but allowed those unauthorized debits and purchases to not only continue but they allowed the charges to transfer over to the new cards as well. Frustrated, I chose to not make further payments on the card until those issues were addressed. In seeking to find a resolution, on XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with a representative at Indigo and subsequently a supervisor who offered to waive {$110.00} in late fees if I agreed to pay {$210.00} on the account that same day. I made the payment and today, XX/XX/XXXX, I realized my bank account was deducted for the {$210.00} total but the late fees were not removed. I then called Indigo and was told by a representative that I had supposedly requested my late fees not be waived. Considering how absurd that is, I asked for a supervisor who then offered to waive 2 late fees -- one less than the agreed-upon 3 late fees. I declined and advised that individual that I would prefer the agreed upon fees be waived or my money refunded. That person then agreed to waive all three of the late fees. Hours later, I attempted to log into the account but my credentials would not work. So I called Indigo and was advised that my account had been closed which means, Indigo opted to keep my money and close my account instead of refunding fees which they agreed to reverse and that to me smells like fraud and deception and I relayed as much to them over the phone. I would like this company to be sanctioned for their conduct by this agency and I'd like to add that this sort of activity seems to be a clear standard business practice for this disreputable company, which has accrued tons of negative reviews online along with accusations of other inappropriate and potentially unlawful business practices. I'd like to point out that I have not made a purchase with this card in over a year and the only remaining balance are late fees on payments concerning a balance that is fraudulent in nature.
