Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, I mailed in a certified letter through the US Postal service challenging a collection that was placed on my credit file XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX collection in the amount of {$17000.00} due to an auto repo which occurred around XXXX of XXXX. Upon further investigation and research through XXXX in which I entered the vehicle ID number, I found that the XXXX XXXX XXXX which was already in a great running condition at the time held the retail value of {$14.00}, XXXX was resold by the original lender at an auction in the XXXX XXXX area. and they failed to send me a notice of deficiency. According to the law, misrepresenting the amount of the debt or its judicial status are violations of the FCRA. The sale price must be applied to the balance of the loan. In my dispute letter, I clearly expressed how important a reasonable human investigation was in this matter and requested a full disclosure and every piece of information gathered during their previous investigation. The FCRA rule 611 ( a ) ( 6 ) ( B ( iii ) which states, a consumer may request " a description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information shell be provided to the consumer by the reporting agency. My rights were blatantly violated by this credit reporting agency in this process, Their incompetence destroy lives and they should not be in the people business. I have received nothing but a generic computerized response letter from them stating that the account had been verified with no further proof of reasonable human investigation. completely violating my right to receive proper information on my credit file.
