I am a victim of identity theft and I believe the culprit is my ex-girlfriend and mother of my children. Our relationship was very toxic so I moved out of our home and moved in with my parents while I stabilize because I can not afford two leases and since my move it seems like she has started using my credit without my permission. I don't want her to go to jail but clearly she doesn't understand how damaging this has been to my credit. The reason I believe it is hers is because a furniture company claims that I have opened an account with them at our property but then again there is another name that was used XXXX XXXX so I am not 100 % sure none the less she does not admit to using my information but I can not explain how I have 3 repossessions on cars I did not finance and who could possibly be on the receiving end of a personal loan and furniture without my presence. I spoke with an officer XXXX in the Sheriff 's office and he advised me their department is very busy with evictions and subpoena 's and quite frankly I don't have enough information for them to make an arrest. I have notified the bureau 's but they did not respond or remove the fraudulent accounts from my credit report. Attached is a copy of my identity theft affidavit and the letters I have sent to the bureau 's.
