In XXXX I was wrongfully evicted from an apartment complex. I was told my deposit was forfeited ( {$1500.00} ) and will not be applied towards my owed balance ( {$2700.00} ). When Professional Debt Mediation bought my file they sent me a summary of what was sent to them in reference to what I owed. Upon reviewing I noticed that the itemized list did not add up, unless there were missing items from the list. At the time I had no idea how to dispute this and fighting homelessness. More recently, I discovered that I may file a dispute because of the mathematical errors on itemized list so I did and was to by the credit reporting agency to reach out to Professional Debt Mediation to possibly get a resolution. I reached out to company with itemized list in hand to go over, and the representative was having trouble explaining how the numbers added up to the total ; and she definitely tried. When I told her that they should accept lesser amount due to the misinformation, that representative then allowed me to know that I could be sued for not taking care of this. Also they have added this to my credit report again ( XXXX ) since it was supposed to drop off in XXXX. I made an honest attempt to settle, because there may be some money owed, however it is not what was stipulated on the itemized list that is being used to determine my debt. They are charging almost {$3000.00} for an apartment that had no holes in the walls or any interruption of the foundation what-so-ever.
