I was sent an in-mail promotional offer for a new credit card by SOFI. It had a 0 % APR rate for 12/15 months. This happened in the month of XXXX. I responded to the offer and got approved for the card. I first started using the card in the month of XXXX and my first statement was generated in XXXX. I went ahead and made a payment and then when my 2nd statement was generated I daw that they have charged me interest on the balance amount. I reached out to SOFI and they said that they will investigate the matter and get back to me. this never happened. When I called them the 2nd time at that point they apologised and asked me to provide with the code orals they won't be able to apply the promotion. Never have I faced a similar situation from a credit card company. I never retained the paper as its been nearly 4 months. I never anticipated something like this. They are plainly denying any responsibility and it's a clear case of cheating and manipulating for charging interests. It is such an unfair practice. I don't think I will continue with this card but I want solutions regarding the promotional offer being applied to my account. Other folks should also be aware of this company engaging in such dishonest practices.
