Between XX/XX/2021 and XX/XX/2021 I was rate shopping for rates with mortgage companies. I contacted several companies, because I knew that though these would be considered hard inquires it would only be counted as one inquiry because they were all for one specific type of loan. However, all three credit reporting agencies are reporting 4 separate hard inquires which has greatly impacted my credit score by approximately 44 points! When I contacted them I was told that they can not remove these inquiries. So it seems that when rate shopping a consumer has no protection whatsoever and these inquiries will impact your credit just the same ... ... PLEASE help me, this is really unfair.
